Denton Fox
Denton Fox (1948 – April 29, 2013) was an American football cornerback who played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team of Texas Tech University. He was recognized as a first-team All-American in 1969. ==Early years== Fox graduated from Claude High School in Claude, Texas. Afterward he received an athletic scholarship to attend Texas Tech University, where he played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team from 1967 to 1969. Fox's combination of size and speed was uncommon at the time for a cornerback. During his 1969 senior season, he had four interceptions; afterward, he was a first-team All-Southwest Conference (SWC) selection, and received first-team All-American honors from the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).〔https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1873&dat=19691204&id=15QeAAAAIBAJ&sjid=gcsEAAAAIBAJ&pg=2549,1220833〕 In 1989, he was inducted into the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame.
